Hello all and welcome to the October edition of Gothenburg GAA newsletter ( Part 1 )
Im
in the middle of writing a season review but I just want to let you
know of current happenings. Its been a marvellous year for us with the
establishment of our ladies team and our involvement in a lot of
top-class matches and tournaments. Its always good to commend good
achievements and i just want to inform you of the following:
Gothenburg GAA becomes part of Europe
For
the second year running ,Gothenburg GAA was represented on the Europe
team which played in the annual St.Jude 's 7 a side Junior competition
in Dublin in Septemeber All-ireland weekend. This is a very high standard
competition where the junior A football champs from all 32 counties
send a 7 a side panel. This year Mal Keenan represented Gothenburg and he
played with distinction and reached the semi-final.A report on the
tournament can be found also on the current European GAA newsletter, (
the link is on the Gothenburg GAA facebook page ) .
In a huge first for the club, Gothnburg was also
represented in the Ladies European team which took place in an
All-ireland 7 's tournament last weekend.A big shout out to Mia who I
must say has been an amazing ambassador for the club this year
travelling all the way from Tailinn to Templogue representing us.Well
done Mia.....
