Welcome to Rut & Ragnars hostel

Rut & Ragnars is a hostel centrally near the cozy Möllevången, within walking distance to most of Malmö.

Our place has free wireless internet, TV in all private rooms, free parking, a laundry you can borrow, guest kitchen and everything else you would expect in a hostel including a good spirit :) or call us on +4640-611 60 60.

Important inforamtion:
Sheets and towels can be hired from us, otherwise you need too bring your own.
Cleaning: 70 SEK/person
Breakfast: 45 SEK
Sheets : 50 SEK
Towel: 20 SEK

All-in price (breakfast, sheets, towel): 100 SEK
you can  buy locks for the lockers in the dorm from us or you can bring your own.

3. Petrol ... for those travelling in the cars , a donation towards petrol costs would be gratefull accepted .. maybe 70 sek each would be grand.

All in all the cost per person attending the tournament who are travelling and staying for the whole event will be approximately 700 -750 sek per person.I know this is an outlay but as always we need funds to survive andthat means bigger and better fundraising ideas.Gothenburg GAA will do their best to subsidise travel or something on the trip but it will not amount to much. Also I really appreciate the effoer people put in and their efforts to attend .it really is what the club is all about.!!!

Training Schedule
we will train every Tuesday up until the tournament... ie 7th and 14th of august.also, Daniel and Jessica take additional  training on Thursdays in Hisingen.Look at Facebook for the directions.
lets get cracking.!!

Also, we will need a ladies kit for Malmo .Can we borrow the Gothenburg Celtics kit again ... ?? Niall, wouldyou mind taking this on again ?

GAA & the Göteborgs Idrottsallians in the Kulturkalaset

Hi All,
as you know Goteborg's Kulturkalaset runs from 14-19th August. As part of this there is an event organised by the Göteborgs Idrottsallians so that people can come along and see the following spots: Gaelic football, Australian and American football, baseball, softball, cricket, field hockey, lacrosse and ultimate frisbee. It is a perfect opportunity to show what the sport is about and to get new players.

See the following link for more information: http://kulturkalaset.goteborg.com/2012/programpunkt.php?id=1245

Joel has organised a meeting with the other clubs in the Idrottsallians for next week (6th of August @ 7 p.m. in Valhalla Landhockeys "clubrooms", von utfallsgatan). In this meeting it will be discussed what exactly will be done for the event in the Kulturkalaset.

More info will come later on. But please let me know ASAP if you could help out.

Regards,
     /Niall.

A chara,

I wish to draw your attention to the ‘Nothing beats being there’ competition which went live on the Official GAA Facebook page recently.

The lucky winner is being offered the chance to fly one person home from abroad for the Football or Hurling All-Ireland final. The winning duo will also be given two nights accommodation in the Croke Park Hotel.
The competition is exclusive to the Official GAA Facebook page and all details are explained within the competition itself.

Attached to this email is a short news story and an image which I would greatly appreciate if you could upload it to the home page of your website to help spread this information and also send it out through your social media platforms you may have.

The competition is open until Sunday, August 19 and any help you can give us in promoting it over the next few weeks would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Hi all,

We have already received feedback from some of the clubs. We know that you most of the clubs can´t get the full men/ladies team travelling to Tallinn due to all the other great tournaments in Europe. But our intentions is to get at least 3 ladies and 3 men teams together. All the games will be if possible  9 a side. So even if you can´t get full team coming then we are waiting individual players so that we could have mixed team.

Please let us know ASAP how many players are coming from your club.
So far we know that from
Helsinki 10 men
Stockholm 2-3 men + 9 ladies
Gothenburg 2-3 men +1 lady
Malmö 0 players
Copenhagen 0 players

Regarding accommodation we have special offer from Swissotel (please find attached). If you want cheaper options then hopefully you will find something from the following list.

European Football Team in All-Ireland 7's

Hello men,
please see below mail inviting players to represent European GAA at St.Jude's Junior All -ireland 7's. As I represented Gothenburg GAA last year, I can honestly say its a cracking weekend. Basically it would be no more than 2 from each club in Europe but its from both championship and shield sides.

The story goes (and I can't see it changing this year) is that flights and accomodation is paid for. You flind the flight yourself, pay for it and the amount is refunded to you before you go. The accomoodation is paid for by Euro GAA and its decent four-star accomodation sharing doube room with other Euro GAA team members.

So, who would be up for it? Let me know if you are interested. As for as I know,  it's All-Ireland weekend as well and I didn't know until I left that you also get an ALL-Ireland ticket thrown in if you stay around for the weekend.

All the best,
Billy
